It was nice experience! From knowing the famous headhunter's stories to tasting some food items and wine. My guide also showed us some herbs which was nice. U will be brought to this part where you can see the collection of skulls being hanged inside the home. The dance performance happens twice a day. It was nice;) appreciate the audience involvement;))

Monsopiad Heritage Village's commitment to presenting local history greatly pleased me. There was excellent information on the guided tour. It was visually stunning as well as educational. Our tour guide, Mr. Radzi, showed enthusiasm for imparting knowledge, and the interactive exhibits made the tour enjoyable. It’s a perfect place for a family outing.

A good place to learn about kadazan dusun culture. Truly enjoyed the blowpipe experience where you get to practice as much as you want. The food tasting experience was good too.

I took a Grab car here from KK and am so glad I did. For 65 MYR (international tourist rate) I was able to show up on a weekday around 10am and be assigned a guide to take me around the village for an hour and a bit. I get the feeling that on weekends or during peak season that booking in advance is advisable though. My guide spoke English and also doubled as a cameraman (he excelled at both). He also ensured I got a front row seat to the 11am performance and encouraged me to join in the dancing when asked. I couldn't have asked for a better guide! Trying traditional Sabah food and drinks was a real highlight, as was learning how to use a blowpipe to shoot balloons, and trying my hand at the traditional dances. If you are interested in learning about the Kadazandusun people and want to visit a cultural village with a more personal touch, then this is an unbeatable experience!

We had an amazing time in Monsopiad Heritage Village. Thanks to all the crew and our lovely tourguide, Ms Claire. Very informative and engaging indeed. Our kids had fun dancing with the tribe, appreciating its headhunting culture and rituals, taste-test their delicacies of bambangan fruit & wild ginger and hands on with the sago worm 'butod' & traditional blowgun 'sumpit'. A must visit in KK.
